Magento is an industry leader in digital commerce and is an eCommerce platform that makes it simple to create distinct digital retail experiences. But Magento is more than a platform; it is a company that strives to continuously impact the industry as a whole. Magento provides many resources for eCommerce business, including a number of international events. Meet Magento NYC is the only Meet Magento event in the United States and was another huge success this past September.

What is Meet Magento?

Magento hosts Meet Magento NYC annually during the fall. This event is the only one of its kind available in the U.S., and it gives Magento merchants a space for sharing new eCommerce developments. Attendees can meet Magento sponsors, exchange knowledge, and simply connect with the community. Thousands of developers, technology partners, retailers, and solution providers attend yearly to learn about Magento’s evolution and future plans. Magento events are typically packed with opportunities and information for every single person in the audience. The events consist of:

  • A multitude of sessions ranging from very technical information to general business strategy.
  • Sponsors who can provide some insight into how to improve your Magento store.
  • An ideal setting for networking. Networking events surround Magento events and are a great place to meet merchants and developers.
  • Bonus! Many Magento events also include some free food and beverages.

Meet Magento NYC! 2019

This year’s Meet Magento NYC event held on September 5th and 6th was another huge success. Magento shared more about their upcoming smart product recommendations and how these will impact the entire eCommerce industry. Magento’s VP Strategy, Mr. Peter Sheldon, kicked off the event with a discussion about the evolving online commerce landscape and changes to come. Meet Magento NYC 2019 also included a very important session on data security. The informative day was followed by a fun afterparty which provided a perfect environment for networking with Magento and other attendants. Finally, Ben Marks closed the event with an explanation of why Magento developed M2 after M1 and MageMojo CEO, Eric Hileman, delivered the final keynote.

For those who could not attend, the hashtag #MM19NYC is a great place to recap the event through images and captions of those at the event. The Magento NYC event is a must for any eCommerce business that has the opportunity to attend in the future. Sign up on Magento’s website to get alerts for the dates, venue, and speaker announcement for future Meet Magento NYC events. We hope to see you there in 2020!
