What are the changes that Amazon is making?
According to the new PII policy, for all Amazon orders the above information can only be retained by 3rd party softwares for only as long as it is necessary to fulfill orders.
There is also a 30-day limit on PII storage.
How will this affect MobilityeCommerce connector?
MobilityeCommerce is fully compliant with Amazon’s new security standards and Data Protection Policies.
FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) Orders will contain customer’s PII for 21 days (in encrypted form in the database) till the order is marked as fulfilled or cancelled .After that the PII data will be obfuscated.
For FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Orders MobilityeCommerce does not store or process any PII data from Amazon FBA; As these orders are fulfilled by Amazon, MobilityeCommerce only stores the City, State, and Zipcode for reporting purposes.
MobilityeCommerce will display the customer name in case of FBA with an obfuscated value as BuyerName .
